In this week's US press release announcing Pro Evolution Socce..., an extra paragraph appeared talking about the improvements to be made to goalkeepers.
"Improved Goalkeepers: In keeping with the basis of total freedom of movement, players now have more control over their keeper. This greater control allows for quick roll-outs, instinctive saves, pinpoint accuracy with goal kicks, and precision ball distribution to make quicker breaks or playing down the clock easier."
Thanks to WENB and prorevo for the heads up.

PES 2011: Football Evolved
Total revamp, total freedom, total football
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH will deliver a completely new footballing experience later this year with the advent of PES 2011, for PlayStation3, Xbox 360, PC-DVD, Wii, PlayStation 2 and PSP™ (PlayStationPortable), which sees the publisher’s long-running series undergo the most radical revamp in its history.
The PES range has long been regarded as offering incredible realism and control, but PES 2011 will reinvigorate the series with the most advanced raft of gameplay additions, control options, and animations to meet the evolution of real-life football. Central to its total freedom of play, PES 2011 introduces a power bar for each player that allows the user to determine the exact strength and placement of every pass and shot. Balls can now be spread absolutely anywhere with utter precision, with long balls into space, short passes to feet and intricate one-twos allowing the player to dictate play and control the tempo of a match.
This freedom of play is also extended via new AI routines designed to place every move and decision in the player’s hands. No longer will assisted AI intervene during matches; users will now need to sense and react to threats; and passes will not automatically reach the nearest player. Instead, all-new routines facilitate complete control both of the player and their chosen actions in every respect to give the player sublime control over every movement.
"It was time for PES to transform, and PES 2011 represents the most ambitious redesign in the series’ history," commented Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "We’ve continued to work closely with the fans to pinpoint what it is about football that PES didn’t do. Total freedom was the priority and all-new animation a must. PES 2011 does both – indeed, they are directly linked to each other – and while the new game is recognisably PES at its heart, it is also the most radically improved version ever."
Key to PES 2011’s new approach is a specially-designed control system that allows total control over every element of play. The triangulation of passes and making space using clever runs becomes paramount, and build-up play is everything. Likewise, dribbling and close control are tougher to master, and the days of making streaking runs through the centre of the park are over, as PES mirrors the real-life football.
The result is the most complete and realistic PES to date. PES 2011 delivers an evolved experience that still has the key PES ehthos of skill and realism at its core. Likewise, every other aspect of the game has been totally reworked, including:
Total Control: PES Productions has enhanced the 360-degree passing ratio, offering unprecedented levels of control over every pass, shot, throw-in, through ball and lofted through balls. This allows users to pass the ball into space, and move their play with total freedom. Players must precisely weight their passes and second-guess the runs of their team-mates and exploit their movement. Players even can apply pressure on opponents to force them off the ball.
Shot & Stamina Gauge: In addition to the generic power gauge, the Shot & Stamina meter details the player’s exact level of fitness. Constantly sprinting will affect the player’s movements and will have an adverse affect on his stats, with passes going awry and a loss of pace.
New Defender AI: Defenders now hold their positions naturally, no longer chasing any ball that enters their area; preferring to close down the attacker and force them into a mistake.
Animation and Player Physics: PES Productions has totally reworked every element of in-game animation. These additions will become clear before even kick-off, with the players enjoying fluid, natural movements, with more realistic acceleration and inertia than ever before. The physicality between players is also improved, which was a priority requested in PES forums. Jostling and blocking now looks stunning, while there is a larger variety of convincing tackling styles. Ambient animation also adds immensely to the in-game atmosphere, as players behave realistically when off the ball, and walk and run with a variety of individual styles.
Speed of Play: The new level of control means that PES 2011 enjoys a more considered pace of play, which varies dependent on situations. The game will burst into life as counter-attacks come into play, but players can dictate the pace via slow build up or exploiting available space to surge forward. It is harder to make long runs from midfield, and successful play will depend on making quick passes to make room.
Aesthetics: PES 2010 showcased the best likenesses in a football game, and PES 2011 ups the ante further. Facial animation has been enhanced, but the key advances are over 1000 all-new animations which have been recreated from the ground up using over 100 hours of motion captured footage. Every aspect of player movement has been reworked, with more organic runs, turns, throw-ins, tackles, and interaction. The way players speed up and slow down is also more natural, while replays display elements of motion blur that bring your saved goals to vivid life.
Tactical and Strategy: The sheer number of options available in the PES series has established it as a remarkably flexible simulation, allowing players to stamp their playing style on each match. The PES Productions team has implemented an all new ‘Drag and Drop’ mechanism that can be used in every aspect of team management, not just substitutions or formation changes. These settings are also animated to promote better understanding of the plays that have been altered.
Feint settings: PES has always offered a wide range of subtle skills, feints and turns, but PES 2011 allows users to map their favourite move sequences to the right stick, making them more accessible than ever before.
Master League Online: Master League will offer an all-new challenge, as users are invited to try their hand against other managers online. PES 2011 will mark the online debut for its much-loved Master League element, with players bidding against each other for the world’s best players, and attempting to build a squad that can compete with the best against online peers all over the globe.
PES 2011 also features a myriad of smaller additions, all designed to enhance the overall experience. The game’s difficulty level has been upped thanks to the greater control on offer, while new camera angles showcase the game’s stunning visuals and animation. Likewise, in accordance with the strong wishes of the fan base, both referees and goal keepers have been improved in both aesthetic and AI terms, while an all-new commentary process has been implemented that offers a better and less repetitive overview of the proceedings.
The game will also see the return of Lionel Messi – arguably the greatest player in the modern game – as its cover star, and the expansion of its UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League elements, and the addition of the Copa Liberadores, South America’s most influential and important club-based competition.
"This is just the tip of the iceberg for PES 2011," concluded Murphy. "We have some significant announcements still to come regarding game modes and gameplay functions. The first footage of the new game perfectly showcases the new animation and freedom elements that beat at the heart of the new game. We are confident that PES 2011 will both surprise and delight football fans. They are going to have to relearn how they play, as this is a very different game, but I am confident it will blow them all away."
PES 2011 will be released for PlayStation3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation2, PSP™ (PlayStationPortable), and PC-DVD in the Autumn.

PES 2010 : New update What's news?
After very long holidays I return to blog (but still holidays...:) ). This is about PES DLC and update hits on last Monday 21st.
And its nothing but great news for all PES fans!
Aside from the additional footwear and balls, Seabass & Co have been working hard at fixing in-game elements – certain things in direct response to fan feedback. Konami missed a trick when they forget to let users saved custom tactics and formations, especially as it was one of the key inclusions in this years game. Thankfully thats now been fixed, meaning no more re-doing the whole thing before every game. There’s also new connectivity indicators, making it much easier to spot people with poor connection.
But the REAL good news from the update comes once you actually start playing the game. There’s an instant realization that things have changed for the better, without ever being as clear as night and day. The ref’s for example are much stricter, and with it more realistic. Loads more fouls are given, and finally lots more penalties. There’s also a new found smoothness with the game, in how it flows and responds to your commands.
Currently many people are refraining from stating these improvements as facts, but right now the general feeling is a lot has changed for the better. Make sure you download the update as soon as possible and let us know what you think here.
Hit the jump for the press release and full list of boots and balls.
Thanks to kos301 for the list:

PES DLC and update hits today
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH will today release free content and an update for its PES 2010 title for PLAYSTATION(R)3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD.
3 new balls and 10 new boots are offered as additional free DLC.
On the other side, the update makes it even easier to use the game’s comprehensive formation settings, and also adds icons to show the connectivity status of online players. All settings can now be saved and Stocked Data will be loaded automatically, speeding up play immediately. Likewise, the new connectivity icons will show the user as a Grey icon, with Green, Yellow and Red icons detailing the quality of the opponent’s connection, with red being the worse.
The update also improves match making between users of the PC-DVD version of the game with different processors.

PES 2010 Master League : Transfer Negotiation Tips
I've noticed a few things when negotiating transfers and thought I'd pass them on:
- The initial transfer fee suggested by a club is ALWAYS open to negotiation
- Changing this fee by 25-30% is normally acceptable
- A players wage demands aren't so flexible. A player normally wants 10% more than their value.
- A player will seek less than their value if they are unhappy at a club but even then re-negotiaiting the wage should only be to a slight degree
- The length of contract requested is normally short but is never a deal breaker. (For instance if a player wants a 1 year contract and you say 5, they will almost always return with a compromise.)
- The assessment by the scout that "A deal seems unlikely" doesn't mean you wont get the player. You should always attempt to sign a player even if you get this assessment.
If anyone has any other tips for negotiations please post them on this thread

You should try negotiate player that on transfer list, they will always come to you.
The higher level of scout you have, the better negotiation conditions he will determine for you and if you unhappy with that deal, you can renegotiation that deal. But for me with scout level 3-5 he give me a fine deal or best deal.
And another effect of higher scout is quick negotiate than lower level (few week), more scouting report on 'scout list' (level5 you can see special abillity) and more number player that you can buy in the transfer window.
Wish this transfer tips maybe help you. I do like that and never have problem with transfer.

PES 2010 Option File : Not your save data and Lock Trophies !!!
If you play PES ver. PS3, You should know how to have all licensed kits. How to do this? It's a option file that someone edit unlicensed team, kits, fake name etc. and you download it to your PES op(option file)
But some people have problem with this.
They found "Not your save data and Lock Trophies"
How to fix it?
You have two thing you shouldn't do.
First don't copy 'System Data' to your PS3, this is solve 'not your save data'
Second don't copy option file by overwrite it. You should delete your own option file first and copy option file(OP that someone edit kits, name, etc.) to your PS3. Finish !!! looks easy yes it's very very very easy to solve this problem friend.
Now let's play :) enjoys

PES 2010 First Impressions
Several internet retailers started posting out copies of PES2010yesterday and delighted PES fans have awoke to find the game on their doorsteps this morning.
Initial postings on the forum have been extremely positive with several people declaring it the greatest PES ever, but do you agree with them?
If you're lucky enough to have the game, post your first impressions here and let those who haven't got the game yet know what they're missing out on.
For me, the game is miles ahead of the demo. I was really disappointed after playing the demo. It just didn't feel like any improvement whatsoever over PES 2009, but since I got hold of the full game I haven't been able to stop playing it. There's no delay when pressing buttons, the pace feels right for the game and the new sliders really have an effect on how your team positions itself on the field.
The Master League really has been overhauled at last and the Champions League and Europa League integrations are far better than I imagined they would be. The commentary is still the same, but the licensed music does make a difference when going through the menus.
If you haven't read it yet, Marko's review of PES2010 is probably the best out there pointing out all the gameplay elements which other reviews have missed out. For those that don't know, Marko has won countless PES tournaments and has finished runner up representing PES Rankings at the Euro finals in the past playing PES6. If he doesn't know the game inside out, no one does.

“When I used to get a new PES game, my first thoughts were always "Oh I dont think I like this, I cant get used to the game, I prefer the old version!" and then after I kept at it all of a sudden the PES magic hit me and I was hooked for another year Then on PES08 and PES09 my first thoughts were "Why is this so easy, I can run past the whole team with my eyes shut and its my first time playing it". Playing PES2010 gave me that feeling that has been missing since I first played PES6. With every game I played I started to enjoy it more and more and I keep saying to myself just one more go and it turns into another two hours of play For me its the best football game on this generation of consoles, my only worry is that I've got a kid on the way and its going to cut into my time playing it!”
Let us know if you agree with me and Marko. Of course, if you don't agree with us there's always the moaning thread for you to vent, but it's been very quiet so far.

PES Rankings Main event 2010 announcement
Ah, the Main Event. The crème de la crème of UK PESchampionships. Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, was chosen as the venue of last year's Main Event, and it served as a fantastic location for the day. But we wanted to go one better this year - so we snatched up Wembley instead.
Yup, Wembley Stadium, home of the England national team, known across the globe as one of the biggest and best stadiums around – with a capacity second highest in Europe and the only 90-thousand seater found in the world with every seat under cover, we thought Wembley was a fitting choice to host the PES Rankings Season 5 Main Event on 24th July.
So how can you qualify to get there? Well, the answer's a simple one. All you have to do is compete at a consistently high standard throughout the PES Rankings season, the best by July being given the opportunity to take part.
But that isn't all. New for Season 5 is the introduction of qualifying seats, where the winners of certain events, as for example the North and South events, gain an automatic place at the Main Event as part of the prize. Likewise, the two PESFan Championship and the eight Player of the Month winners will also gain entry, and so on.
You'll be able to see who's qualified for the Main Event as the season progresses by heading over to our special Main Event page here
http://www.pesrankings.com/mainevent/ and scrolling down the “Main Event Seats” list on the right.
You also have the chance to qualify by simply entering yourself into our 'Win A Seat' competition here
http://www.pesrankings.com/winaseat/ which is open to all UK players who want a chance to compete on the grandest PES stage in the land, but don't have the time necessary to take part in a year long tournament system.
And finally, why should you bother? Well, last year's Main Event winner walked away with £1000 in online retail vouchers, along with entry to the European Finals and the 5-star hotel that came with it. The runner up won himself £400 in vouchers, and everyone who took part bagged themselves a goodie bag worth £150.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up, take part, and maybe we'll see you at Wembley in July.

PES 2010: Become a Legend
Become a Legend was the mode I played the most on PES 09, and without much news released in the build up I wanted to find out how it had changed.
Starting off, it’s the same process as the last game. Pick a name, appearance etc and then play the trial game with other youngsters. After a bit of experimentation, it doesn’t seem like your performance affects your starting stats in anyway. In one trial I scored twice and finished with an 8.0 rating and the stats were only marginally different to a trial where I got a 6.0 rating.
I chose to sign for Le Mans from the teams available, but regretted that almost instantly after checking their formation. 4-5-1. I was a striker. Going through the menus and everything looked pretty much the same, but with a new lick of paint to match the rest of the game.
To get into the first team, you follow the same process of a series of inter-squad matches where good performances see you move to the team with bibs, and then onto the bench. What strikes you the first time you play a match is the improved graphics. I know everyone’s banged on about them for the last few months, but even on my old tv it’s pretty impressive. The training stadium has changed this year. There’s only one stand and the pitch resembles the local park more than Anfield which adds to the realism.
I managed to bag an assist my first match which gave me a 7.5 rating. Once you leave the match screen, a new screen pops up showing the manager’s rating of you. This was something the last game lacked when starting off. You were always in the dark about how long you would have to struggle in the inter-squad matches before getting a shot at the first team, but now you have this handy screen with a progress bar to give you some sort of indication how close to the team you are. A 7.5 rating filled roughly 20% of the bar up and I was off to a good start.Starting off, it’s the same process as the last game. A number of average games followed as I struggled to make any sort of telling contribution to the games but the bar was still filling up, albeit slower than I anticipated. Week 6 finally got me into the better side for the inter-squad match, and after a decent 6.5 game I made the bench for the match against Bordeaux.
Brought on just past the hour mark, I was the lone striker with the score 0-0. Almost as soon as I was introduced, the ball broke from a Bordeaux corner and I found myself running at the lone defender inside their half. I fluffed the chance though as I overran the ball! A few minutes later, I picked the ball up outside the box, beat a defender and whipped a low cross across the goal where one of the midfielders popped up to score the only goal of the game and give Le Mans the unlikely victory.
That cameo earned me a 7.5 rating and the progress bar shot up again to the 60% mark. I made the starting XI after a couple more substitute appearances and I’ve managed to stay there ever since despite only scoring the one goal in ten starts. If you have a bad game, the bar will drop slightly and you may find yourself out of the team.
One new thing you’ll notice when playing BaL is the camera distance at set pieces. As an attacker, I was usually camped on the halfway line at opposition corners and the camera zoomed out to almost bird’s eye view to fit everything onto the screen. Unfortunately the camera isn’t as good when your team has a corner and you’re standing at the near post. You’ll find yourself off screen when the corner is taken and those easy near post headers you scored in the last game will be that little bit harder to pull off.
The main problem I encountered with BaL on PES09 was the poor AI from your teammates, so I pleasantly surprised in the opening games when I saw my own team craft some silky passing moves together in the final third to create openings. They still tend to prefer attacking down the flanks and hitting crosses more in hope than expectation, but they are capable of attacking through the middle as well. Defensively, there are still keystone cop moments, but as a whole they are more organised and your keeper performs a bit better between the sticks. I do have a slight issue with the lack of closing down from the centre halves when an attacker is running at them, but that works for both teams so anybody creating a Gerrard type player might have fun blasting in shots from distance.
Both the Champions League and Europa Leagues are fully integrated like in Master League, but real currency isn’t used as your played is paid in points. Match ratings are still a bit iffy and leave you scratching your head at times. I've haven't had chance to try out the online Legends yet as online isn't available yet. One new feature is the ability to export your player into the other game modes. This is done through the menus in Become a Legend and your exported player uses a slot in the 'Created Players' section.
Overall, Become a Legend is near identical to the previous game but with tweaks here and there. The AI is slightly sharper, you get more feedback from the manager and you can export your player into other modes. It’s not as ground breaking as the Master League overhaul but still good fun when you get into it.

PES 2010 Q&A
I've got the game in front of me so ask away on the forums and I'll answer as soon as possible.
To start things off I've uploaded a couple of videos showing off what National and Other Teams are in the game and their full squads.
There are other sites such as videogameszone and PCaction who are posting face shots of all the players, so I'll try and focus more on the actual gameplay and features of the game.

PES 2010 Review Gameplay Video - England vs. Germany
Ladies and gentlemen, don't say we never give you anything. Here's another PES 2010 review code gameplay video, and this time we'll be visiting that most classic of rivalries - England vs. Germany.
This video's slightly different to the others in that it's a selection of highlights, not two parts of a full match. Oh, and you didn't hear this from me, but it's been cobbled together by TheBoss himself. an extremely wine-merry TheBoss. An extremely wine-merry TheBoss who accidentally missed one of the goals from the match. Doh!
But anyway, this video's got some really good moments in it, so check it out and see how the scoreline finishes.
Starring Keenan as Germany and Marko9Gardinic as England.
