PS3 Slim sales outstrip cut-price Xbox

With the PS3 Slim launch and an Xbox 360 Elite price cut all going down in the space of a week, picking which HD console to go for hasn’t been made any easier. If you’re wondering which did better in the Bank Holiday rush though, here’s your answer: the PS3 Slim, and by a country mile.

ChartTrack, which monitors sales of console hardware in the UK, says that the PS3 Slim rejuvenated Sony sales, boosting them up more than 999 percent. How does that compare to the Xbox? Although ChartTrack wouldn’t give out hard stats, it did let slip that PS3 Slim beat it, and the Wii and DS Lite too, by around three to one.
