PES Rankings Main event 2010 announcement

Ah, the Main Event. The crème de la crème of UK PESchampionships. Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, was chosen as the venue of last year's Main Event, and it served as a fantastic location for the day. But we wanted to go one better this year - so we snatched up Wembley instead.

Yup, Wembley Stadium, home of the England national team, known across the globe as one of the biggest and best stadiums around – with a capacity second highest in Europe and the only 90-thousand seater found in the world with every seat under cover, we thought Wembley was a fitting choice to host the PES Rankings Season 5 Main Event on 24th July.

So how can you qualify to get there? Well, the answer's a simple one. All you have to do is compete at a consistently high standard throughout the PES Rankings season, the best by July being given the opportunity to take part.

But that isn't all. New for Season 5 is the introduction of qualifying seats, where the winners of certain events, as for example the North and South events, gain an automatic place at the Main Event as part of the prize. Likewise, the two PESFan Championship and the eight Player of the Month winners will also gain entry, and so on.

You'll be able to see who's qualified for the Main Event as the season progresses by heading over to our special Main Event page here

http://www.pesrankings.com/mainevent/ and scrolling down the “Main Event Seats” list on the right.

You also have the chance to qualify by simply entering yourself into our 'Win A Seat' competition here

http://www.pesrankings.com/winaseat/ which is open to all UK players who want a chance to compete on the grandest PES stage in the land, but don't have the time necessary to take part in a year long tournament system.

And finally, why should you bother? Well, last year's Main Event winner walked away with £1000 in online retail vouchers, along with entry to the European Finals and the 5-star hotel that came with it. The runner up won himself £400 in vouchers, and everyone who took part bagged themselves a goodie bag worth £150.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up, take part, and maybe we'll see you at Wembley in July.
